22 Super-Cute Animals With Exponentially Cuter Names

22 Super-Cute Animals With Exponentially Cuter Names
Coming up with a name for your furry new friend is no easy task. Just like human babies, their name will influence how they make friends at the park, are introduced to new people, and overall...their personality.
Okay, well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but our fur babies are part of the family!
Regardless of how much thought you did or didn't put into your cutie's name (I have a whole story for my Mila), these little ones have names that might just rival their ridiculously adorable looks.

1. "Cooper...Special Agent Dale Cooper."

2. I think Dobby is definitely fitting here

3. Everyone, say hello to Stache.

4. Thor rules with his mighty adorable eyes.

5. I could actually eat Mochi right up.

6. Okay, so Dracula isn't your usual "cute," but this guy is changing the rules.

7. "That's MISTER Samuel L. Barkson to you, sir."

8. A pug named Poncho? Stop it. Stop it right now.

9. I just fell in love with Daisy Mae. If you didn't, you have no soul.

10. This regal boy took some hikers on a quest -- they dubbed him Gandalf.

11. Yuki, you cutie.

12. Miso is the most beautiful cat I've ever laid eyes on.

13. "Hi! I'm Reese. Hi there. Hi!"

14. You wouldn't guess it, but Gizmo is a girl.

15. Braille was born without eyes, but she's the apple of ours.

16. Fudge is just as sweet as his namesake.

17. And Monroe? Well, she's quite the flirt.

18. Barnaby has reached peak relaxation levels.

19. "I have a pot bellied pig named Bacon, so this is my new pug Eggs..." Appropriate.

20. My childhood dreams just came true...this is Dancer!

21. "Found this guy hiding in my wife's car. We named him Dipstick." I'm in love.

22. Rescue Helicopter was named by a three-year-old.

Man, I wish I had a cool name like Rescue Helicopter!

What's Inside This Book Will Totally Change Your Perspective On These Famous Sites

What's Inside This Book Will Totally Change Your Perspective On These Famous Sites

If you're a travel buff, you know that there's nothing more satisfying than standing in the shadows of famous landmarks.

There's something special about craning your neck to see the top of the Eiffel Tower or approaching the Statue of Liberty from the harbor. Beloved sites like these become benchmarks of exploration — monuments to the sense of wanderlust that sends people thousands of miles across the globe each year.
But when it comes time to conjure up images in the mind's eye, these landmarks present the most complete versions of themselves. We see the Taj Mahal's famous dome in the reflecting pool. We see Tower Bridge looming over the Thames. We do not, however, see their skeletons.

But this book by Wolfgang Wild and Jordan Lloyd (of Retronaut and Dynamichrome, respectively) is about to change your perspective on the landmarks you thought you knew.

The Taj Mahal, Agra c. 1942
While looking at colorized photos of these sites under construction, we're forced to confront a world that once existed without them.

The Eiffel Tower, Paris c. 1888

Aptly named "The Paper Time Machine," this 300-page publication sheds new light on 130 historical images of structures from around the world.
The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco c. 1934
According to the publisher, "This is a unique book -- a collection of historical remixes that exist alongside the original photographs to draw out qualities, textures, and details that have hitherto remained hidden."
Tower Bridge, London c. 1889
إضافة تسمية توضيحية
Unlike most projects of this nature, "The Paper Time Machine" goes into great detail about the significance of each image and the colorization process.
Mt. Rushmore, Keystone c. 1932

It takes serious work to make people see ubiquitous imagery with fresh eyes.

Sacré-Cœur, Paris c. 1880
Fortunately for us, these creators spent countless hours perfecting each photograph to help readers do exactly that.

To learn more about the book and Dynamichrome's colorization process, check out the video below.

"So realistic are the results," a representative from Unbound said, "that the decades and centuries that separate us from the subjects of these images simply fall away."

Stranded Baby Swans Washed Away Down A Waterfall Receive Some Much-Needed Help

Stranded Baby Swans Washed Away Down A Waterfall Receive Some Much-Needed Help

Simon and his fellow animal rescuers from the Wildlife Aid Foundation received a call about three cygnets that had been washed down a waterfall away from their parents. When they arrived at the scene, they realized that time was rapidly running out as the baby swans were quickly losing energy to stay afloat.

Rescuing the first couple of tiny birds was relatively easy, but getting to the third turned out to be quite the mission. Simon and his camerawoman Stanni were barely prepared for the emotional roller coaster that was to follow...

Seeing that beautiful family swim off at the end was totally worth all those hours searching in the dark.

Promposals Are All The Rage These Days, But Not All Are As Sweet As This One

Promposals Are All The Rage These Days, But Not All Are As Sweet As This One

Eli Kerr met Megan Schiedler when they were just a few months old in a play group for children with Down syndrome. Since that day, the two have been inseparable.
With prom fast approaching, Kerr knew there was only one person he wanted to ask to be his date. By enlisting the help of his fellow choir students, the high school senior surprised Schiedler by singing "My Girl" as she was led into the room. Her response is about to melt you into a puddle!

For high school students, there's nothing more important than having a blast at their senior prom. Based on this footage, it's clear that these two are about to have the best night ever!
